Welcome! This website is being constructed with the purpose of giving everyone from the complete novice to the most knowledgeable experts a place to learn the basics of fishkeeping, as well as a place to learn from each other.

I bought my first 20 gallon tank and set it up with the heater, filter, lights, and all the decorations because my uncle used to have guppies when I was growing up. I was fascinated by how they would give birth to their live young, so I went to the store to buy guppies. I took care to float their bag in the water to get them used to the water temperature, because that is what you were supposed to do. They swam around in their new surroundings as I fed them a couple of times a day. I was careful to monitor their water temperature, making sure that it didn't get too hot or too cold for them. I then flushed them all down the toilet when they went belly up because nobody told me about the nitrogen cycle....I remember.

Unfortunately, many of us have a similar story to tell. It may not be a story about the nitrogen cycle, it may be the story of Oscar...Stop eating your tankmates! Or the story of your Killifish, that liked the color of your carpet so much he just had to get a closer look. Maybe it's the story of your new crayfish, who decided to have your aquatic frog over for lunch. Whatever your story, please feel free to share it here in our forum.(coming soon)
